Everyday Care Habits

• Last on, first off: Apply lotions, perfumes, hairsprays, and hand sanitizers before putting on your jewelry. Wait for them to dry completely.
• Keep it dry: Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming in saltwater or chlorine, and washing dishes.
• Be gentle with impact: Take rings and bracelets off for intense workouts, heavy lifting, or gardening to prevent scratching the metal or knocking the stones.

Material-Specific Care

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time when exposed to air, moisture, and natural body chemistry. This is completely normal and reversible.

• Wipe your jewelry after each wear with a soft, dry cloth to remove daily oils.
• Use a treated silver polishing cloth to quickly restore its original shine.
• For deeper cleaning, wash gently in lukewarm water with mild dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely with a lint-free cloth.

18k Gold-Plated Sterling Silver

Our gold-plated pieces feature a beautiful layer of 18k gold over a solid sterling silver base. Because this is a surface layer, it requires extra gentle handling to extend its lifespan.

• Never use a silver polishing cloth or chemical dips on gold-plated pieces, as the micro-abrasives will quickly strip the gold layer.
• Avoid water, excessive sweat, and friction as much as possible.
• Clean only by gently buffing with a dry, soft microfiber cloth.

Moissanite Stones

Moissanite is exceptionally hard (second only to diamonds) and highly resistant to scratching. However, it can collect natural oils and soap residue that temporarily dull its signature sparkle.

• To restore brilliance, soak the piece for 5–10 minutes in warm water mixed with a drop of mild dish soap.
• Use a soft-bristled baby toothbrush to gently scrub around the stone and underneath the setting where oils gather.
• Rinse thoroughly in warm water and pat completely dry.

Storage Tips

• Store each piece separately in its original Auri Stella pouch or box to prevent scratching and tangling.
• Keep jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
• For sterling silver, storing pieces in small, airtight zip-lock bags can significantly slow down the tarnishing process.
